ABOUT ME

I'm an illustration graduate from the university of Portsmouth with a QTS qualification in teaching art and design at secondary school. I've been creating art for as long as I can remember and it has always had a special place in my heart, with emotions and styles able to be portrayed within my work. I have always used art as an escape from reality and I haven't tried many different styles, sticking mostly to realism as well as illustrative semi-realistic artworks. My focuses are entomology, ithycology as well as whimsical and fun illustrations.
I have found that whilst creating, i am able to transport myself into a state of meditation and joy. This feeling is something that i spent a lot of my teacher training year teaching young people how to feel, I was known as a friendly but fair teacher and many of my students spoke to me about my positive influence on them and their ability to grow technically, socially and even emotionally.
I am a young woman in the south of the UK with a deep passion for illustration, cats, bugs and trinkets. I am a little odd but aren't we all! I use a wide range of different medias with a great interest in prismacolour pencils as well as watercolour and gouache.
MY ART JOURNEY- Fine art at GCSE, Fine art and graphic design at A-Levels, BA Hons in illustration, QTS certificate in Art and design teaching at Secondary school, Pending MA in illustration.
Anyway, enough about me, enjoy my website!
