DIGITAL ARTWORK

since starting illustration I have bought an iPad Pro and apple pencil along with the app procreate. In some of my work (seen below) I have used experimental brushes and techniques and most of these pieces were made in an attempt to get used to the software and get myself used to drawing on an iPad with a pencil. It was a hard thing to grasp and I still get scared to press too hard, but experimenting with colour theory and texture has helped me to get used to working digitally.

I found that with working digitally I am more open to working in a more extremely experimental way, thinking about mythical creatures and common tattoo designs, including; the moth, knife and the skull.

I enjoy working with thick black line work, because I like the contrast of the big bold lines and the colours and textures. this goes with the tattoo design idea that interests me greatly, and working digitally means that I am able to test out different working styles without feeling like it is a waste of effort since it can be changed so easily digitally.
